KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) wants UMNO to explain the allegation that some UMNO Members of Parliament (MPs) are no longer supporting the Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

PAS Secretary General Takiyuddin Hassan said, if the allegation is true then UMNO has not complied with the understanding and the agreement that are stipulated in the “Piagam Muafakat Nasional” signed on September 2019.

“The “Piagam Muafakat Nasional” was made with the objective to unite the Mulsims in the country and to defeat Pakatan Harapan (PH) that was headed by PKR, DAP and Amanah.

“If the transition is true, than it could be an action that is aimed to defeat the Perikatan Nasional Government built on the understanding of BN, BERSATU, PAS, GPS and several other parties as the result of the downfall of PH,” said Takiyuddin in a statement here today.

In relation to the issue Takiyuddin said, PAS hopes to get a clearer explanations from UMNO based on good friendships in Muafakat Nasional and invites UMNO to return to the objectives and goals that have been reached from mutual understanding. –Malaysia World News
