PUTRAJAYA SEPT.17: A total of one million Micro Small Medium Enterpreneurs (SMEs) will receive a financial aid of RM500 from the “Geran Khas Prihatin (GKP) 4.0 starting 21st Sept. and another RM500 on November 2021 to help them in the ongoing challenging time.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the government is continuously committed to support the business sector especially the Micro SMEs with GKP4.0 under the People’s Protection Package and the Economic Recovery (PEMULIH).
“This initiative is offered to the recipients who are already in GKP1.0, GKP 2.0, GKP 3.0 and new recipients in GKP 4.0 involving RM500 million. The payment will be directly credited into the bank account that has been registered in GKP system.
“The approval of GKP 4.0 status could be checked starting 20th Sept. 2021 via Portal GKP i-e https://gkp.hasil.gov.my.
“On the whole the provision of RM6.08 billion have been channelled to one million Micro SMEs under GKP since the COVID-19 began.
“I hope this aid will help to move and recover the SME sector as the engine of the economic growth of the Malaysian Family.
“With this aid, small traders such as small food stall owner, barber shop, workshop and cake shop could lessen their problems and help them with the cash flow,” Ismail said in a statement here today. –Malaysia World News
