PUTRAJAYA NOV.1: The Special Financial Aid (BKK) amounting RM350 that will be paid one-off to one million government pensioners announced in the 2022 Budget recently will also include the retired Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) without pensions.

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the MAF’s veterans without pensions will also receive the BKK as it is in line with the practice of the current government.

“This initiative had been implemented in 2021 Budget where RM300 were given to the pensioners.

“Department of Veteran Affairs (JHEV) has estimated to date there are 300,000 MAF veterans consisting of veterans with pensions, derivative pensions and veterans without pension. However, from the total only 82,000 MAF veterans without pensions have registered with JHEV until 30th September 2021,” Ismail said in a statement here today.

Ismail added, the MAF retirees without pensions and have not registered are advised to register with JHEV so that BKK will be channelled to them by January 2022. –Malaysia World News
