Chief of Malaysian Armed Forces, General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor and Chief of Royal Malaysian Navy, Tan Sri Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin were among 8,118 voters including officials and staff of Malaysian Armed Forces that casted their votes at 12 channels at the school this morning starting from 8 am until 5pm.
The casting of votes were assisted and monitored by 70 Election Commission Agents
Meanwhile, there were 152,357 Malaysian Armed Forces staff involved in the early voting process. This includes 110,277 from Malaysian Army, 22,499 from the Royal Malaysian Navy and 19,581 from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).
The Deputy Chairman of EC, Tan Sri Othman Mahmood who came to SK Kementah this morning expressed his happiness for the smooth flow of voting process at the polling station.
He said, at 10a.m about 27 percent from 8,118 armed forces staff had casted their votes.
Othman also alerted that the boxes in which early voters casted their votes will be kept in police stations and will be taken to the counting process centres on 9 May 4pm.
“The boxes are kept in the lock ups and there should not be any fear for its safety,” he said to the media after making a short visit at the polling station.
However, Chief of Malaysian Army, General Tan Sri Zulkiple Kassim casted his vote at the polling station in Institute of Malaysian Army Communication and Electronic (IKED), Sungai Besi Camp while Chief of RMAF, General Tan Sri Affendi Buang at the SK Desa Tun Hussein Onn (DTHO).
