KUALA LUMPUR: Nurul Izzah Anwar has confirmed that she is no longer the senior economic and financial advisor to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The PKR Vice-President and also the former Permatang Pauh Member of Parliament said, she has now joined the Finance Minister’s Special Advisory Body chaired by Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican.
She said, Mohd. Hassan has invited her to join the advisory body to help their efforts in strengthening the country’s economy and the people.
“I humbly accept this responsibility. Through this new role, I will no longer serve as senior economic and financial advisor to the Prime Minister,” she said in a statement today.
She has been appointed to the post by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim effective on 3rd. January 2023.
Meanwhile Nurul Izzah stressed that she takes the opportunity to express her appreciation for every support given to her both from the public and the entire public service team and government community.
She also hopes that by assisting Tan Sri Mohd. Hassan and other committee members, she will be able to benefit the country. She thanked the entire committee and urges everybody to contribute in any capacity for the sake of the country. – Malaysia World News
