The contagion rate of Covid-19 or Ro/Rt on expected daily case on 26 th May 2021 for the whole country was 1.17, according to Malaysia Health Ministry.

KUALA LUMPUR: The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in Malaysia in recent weeks has been getting very high than ever before.

Compared to some Asian countries, Malaysia has now the highest infection after India.

The spread of Covid-19 looks like it has just begun. It is passing 7000 cases daily, a new high level in the country.

As of now, there is no cure.

The only hope remained to reduce infections is by vaccinating everyone in the country as soon as possible, besides imposing total lockdown and stricter SOP and restrictions.

Malaysia recorded more than 7,400 cases today (26 May).

The vaccine rollout in Malaysia is still slow, compared to other European, Arab countries and Asian countries.

Malaysians are doing the right things but have to wait for their jabs for long.

In waiting, the only thing we can do to slow the spread of the virus and save ourselves and our healthcare system from collapsing, is to stay home and follow the SOP guidlines. All the people here have to be responsible.

It is important that we all comply with all safety and hygiene instructions.

Top experts said it will take at least another one year before a reliable, widely useable vaccine can be produced.

Scientist Albert-László Barabási noted: “About half of the population will become infected within the coming year.

“The only thing we can do is to slow the spread of the virus,” he said.

Scientists and experts are buzzled we are only at the beginning of the pandemic, despite of many types of vaccines have been invented.
