KUALA LUMPUR SEPT.11: The Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Tan Sri Noh Omar and Deputy Education Minister II Datuk Mohamad Alamin took their oath of office, allegiance and secrecy before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Negara here today.
Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah was in attendance to witness the ceremony.
Also present at the ceremony was Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The ceremony took place at the Singgahsana Kecil Istana Negara at 2.30pm and after the ceremony, Noh and Mohamad then signed the official instrument of appointment that was witnessed by the Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd. Zuki Ali.
Meanwhile Noh Omar the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tanjung Karang did not attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet ministers at Istana Negara on 30th Aug.2021 as he had been a close contact of COVID-19 patient while Mohamad the Kimanis MP, was tested positive for the virus.
The two MPs had been announced as members of the new administration under Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on 27th Aug.2021. The new government consists of 31 ministers including four senior ministers and 38 deputy ministers. –Malaysia World News
