“The total and the results of the voting process had been sent by the divisions to the UMNO Headquarters. The unofficial results could be seen until 8.00 pm today.
“At the Wanita Chief level and the Youth Movement as well as Puteri the results have been seen even though seven or eight divisions have not sent the results,” he said at the press conference at UMNO Headquarters, Menara Dato Onn here.
According to Shahrir, the two wings have obtained a new chief and the deputy chief.
“At the Puteri UMNO Movement level, Datuk Nurul Amal Mohd. Fauzi had been voted as the Chief while Puteri Deputy Chief goes to Siti Sokhleha Nordin and their positions will not be threatened,” Shahrir said.
He added, for the post of UMNO Youth Chief, Dr. Akmal Saleh maintains his position by leaving behind other challengers. The remaining divisions that have not sent in the results would not change his position.

“I will confirm it officially when all the results have been received,” he said.
