KUALA LUMPUR: The issue of whether there will be any change of government was not disscussed or talked about at all when Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today.

Anwar said the matter was not brought up.

“That is an issue that did not arise at this point,” he told the media after his meeting with the king this morning.

It is understood that His Majesty has invited many political party leaders today from both the government and the opposition just to seek their views on the on-going Covid-19 situation and the ongoing state of emergency.

Anwar Ibrahim said that he presented his views about the Covid19 crisis and requested Agong  not to extend the state of emergency beyond August 1.

This means that the emergency will be still on till August or beyond.

“I have seen all the measures that can be taken to end the emergency.

“We plead for His Majesty to avoid extending the emergency as much as possible,” he told the media.
