SUBANG, April 15 —The Opposition will destroy Bumiputera development if it wrests Putrajaya or wins the GE14, Caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak claimed today.
He said the survival of Bumiputera institutions like the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) depends on Umno-Barisan Nasional.
Umno-Barisan Nasional must remain in power to protect Bumiputera institutions funds, he added.
Najib said this when addressing a crowd of Mara students at the Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology UniKL (MIAT) today.
“As long as Umno-BN is in power, I guarantee MARA will continue to exist and expand,” he said.
MARA, he added, has successfully produced skilled and capable Bumiputera graduates for high-tech industries.
He also told the thousands of Mara students and alumni present at the event that he must make sure there will be “no Malay tsunami.”
“As long as Umno-BN is in power, I guarantee Mara will continue to exist and expand,” said Najib.
