CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic) hopes that the rakyat will punish Pakatan Harapan, the new government of Malaysia, after realizing it has been telling them lies and cheating them.
“We hope the people, after having been cheated, will punish them. That’s the message,” he told a crowd of people in Cameron Highlands during his visit in Ringlet on Thursday (Jan 24),
Najib also warned people to be aware of Pakatan Harapan’s “tricks and lies”.
He said Pakatan is very smart in coming up with extraordinary things to gain support from voters.
“They can think of things we can’t think of.
“But whatever they offer, they can’t fulfill.
“We want this by-election to be as a referendum on the federal government.
“We start with Cameron Highlands, where Barisan will rise again,” he was quoted as saying by the Star.
The Cameron Highlands parliamentary by-election is getting heated between Barisan’s Ramli Mohd Nor, Pakatan’s M. Manogaran and two independents, Wong Seng Yee and Sallehudin Ab Talib.
