Najib: Income tax exemption for youths, 5 days toll free, and 2 days off on Ramadan if BN wins

PEKAN: On the eve of the 14th General Election (GE), Barisan Nasional Chairman, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced three good news for the people including income tax exemption for earners below 26 years old, should BN be given the mandate to lead the country again.

He said, the tax exemption will be backdated from year 2017 and if payment has already been made, it will be returned to the payer.

“This is in view of the hardships faced by the young people when they first started their career like financially helping the parents and purchasing their various needs,” he said in his speech when announcing the good news at his family residence here this evening.

Najib the caretaker Prime Minister also announced a two day off that is 14th,15th May (Monday and Tuesday) or 13th and 14th May (Sunday and Monday) depending on workers’ off days. The off days are for Muslims to begin fasting in early Ramadan with their families.

In view of the coming Hari Raya, Najib announced a five day toll free for all road users travelling throughout the country.

For this benefit he said, a country that is alleged by the opposition as bankrupt could not possibly give toll exemption to the people. –MalaysiaWorldNews
