PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic) said Barisan Nasional (BN) government was consistent in bringing a lot of development to the nation.
He said that unlike the Opposition, the Government has implemented many national infrastructure projects that benefit the citizens.
“Unlike the Opposition which has imposed very high quit rent (cukai tanah) increases of up to 1,671% in Penang and 300% in Selangor,” the Prime Minister said.
Hence he urges the public to vote wisely in the upcoming general election.
“There is no need to spoil your vote, the best choice for the rakyat is very clear.”
Meanwhile, Najib questioned why Penang needs an undersea tunnel when the state already has two bridges connecting it to the mainland.
“We already have two bridges in Penang, there is no need to waste the rakyat’s money to build the undersea tunnel,” he said.
Najib also reminds the opposition party, DAP of their various alleged scandals in Penang.
“In Penang, as if the bungalow scandal is not enough, recently, there has surfaced accusations about a giant scandal involving the Penang undersea tunnel.
The Prime Minister said this in his blog post (www.najibrazak.com) on Friday, Feb 9.”
However, Najib said, if the people are confused on which party to vote for, they can evaluate both parties based on the development they created.
“There are weaknesses on both sides, but if the rakyat is not capable of evaluating us due to our weaknesses, then it is better that you choose based on the development created by the Government and Opposition,” he said.
