
KAPAR: Dr Mahathir Mohamad today pledged to help the Malaysian Indian community in the event he became prime minister again.
“If I become prime minister again I will take good care of the people in this country and pay a lot of attention to the needs of the Indian community.
“That is my pledge,” he said while speaking at the Pesta Ponggal Vanniar event here today.
Pakatan Harapan chairman Dr Mahathir who was chosen as the prime ministerial candidate for Pakatan Harapan (PH) on January is now leading the opposition coalition to wrestle Putrajaya from Barisan Nasional.
Mahathir asked Indians to support PH in the upcoming General Election (GE14) in order for him to fulfil his promise.
“You need to support us so that this pledge can become a reality.
“Only if we win the election can we fulfil this pledge,” he said.
