KUALA LUMPUR: With the spirit of unity and solidarity among the people alongside with the Malaysia MADANI principles such sustainability, prosperity, respect and humanity, the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi requested the Members of Parliament (MP) in the Dewan Rakyat to fully support the following decisions on the Palestinians.
The Deputy Prime Minister said, the decisions are: Malaysia is very worried about the tensions that have escalated in Palestine and has taken the lives of thousands of people that are innocent, number of injured people have also increased drastically and the great amount of properties have been destroyed.
“The Security Council of the United Nations have to take immediate action to urge all parties to stop all kind of brutalities and attacks as a respect and protecting the lives of the public.
“The international community should increase the pressure on all parties to take immediate action to stop the clashes for the sake of peace and regional stability.
“The basic rights to freedom should be returned to the Palestinians from the illegal occupation of the Israel, the land seized by the Israel should be returned and the rights to build Palestine as a country that is independent and sovereign with East Baitulmaqdis as the capital city,” he said at the Dewan Rakyat today (Monday).
Earlier in his speech, Zahid Hamidi said the conflicts in Palestine have been going on since 75 years ago. Since then the Palestinians have become the victims of the Israeli illegal settlements, sufferings and oppressions were created by the Zionist regime, their land have been seized without mercy and continuous invasions on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He said, thousands of Palestinians have been chased out and could not return to their homeland instead have to stay in other countries. Unfortunately, the global community especially the West continuously did not bother but close one eye and allows the cruelty of the Israel regime without any punitive action.
“The lob sided action continues and raises questions relating to the unfair enforcement principles and international laws. Why there are two different approaches?
“The Ukraine crisis for example, the West acted like lightning in giving support to Kiev. Unfortunately when the Palestine is involved they did not bother at all,” Zahid said. – Malaysia World News
