Mohd. Izzat appointed member of CCFP to represent youth, share experiences on foreign policies

PUTRAJAYA: The Consultative Council on Foreign Policy (CCFP) had the first hybrid meeting on Wednesday where nine members were present while six others participated via online.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah said, the meeting had discussed in details on issues related to Malaysia’s interests and the Ministry such as the Ukraine and Russia conflict, proposal to elevate the effectiveness of the humanitarian aids, initiatives to promote language and culture diplomacy and food security.

“In the meeting Deputy Chief Secretary of the Ministry (bilateral relations) Datuk Amran Mohamed Zin and Deputy Chief Secretary,(multilateral relations) Datuk Cheong Loon Lai had participated in the meeting as ad hoc members to discuss issues with the members of the CCFP,” Saifuddin said in a statement here Thursday.

Saifuddin added, the President of the Malaysian Youth Council, Mohd. Izzat Afifi Abd. Hamid has been appointed as a new member of CCFP for his experiences and ability to contribute to the enactment of foreign policies that are pragmatic and resilient to face the current challenges besides representing the voices of the youths.- Malaysia World News
