Ministry of Foreign Affairs helps 450 Malaysian students to return to China

PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the collaboration of Embassy of China in Kuala Lumpur have arranged for the return of 450 Malaysian students to China through three chartered flights on 8th August and 7th September 2022.

The Ministry in a statement said, it has successfully coordinated the return of Malaysian students to continue their studies in China; by arranging chartered flights to Shanghai, China.

The statement added, this was achieved following the agreement reached between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Councillor of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi in December 2021 and during the latter’s official visit to Kuala Lumpur in July 2022.

“All students wishing to return to China for their studies need to obtain the invitation letter or JW201 form from their respective university. They can then submit their application for the visa to enter China at the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Kuala Lumpur.

“The Malaysian students who have obtained the invitation letter or JW201, and wishing to return to China using the chartered flight may register their interest with the following contact or email address: MAS Charter Team charter@malaysiaairlines.com,” the statement said.

The statement added, the Ministry and the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Kuala Lumpur with the collaboration of Malaysia Airlines will continue to facilitate the return of students to pursue their studies there until such a time when the airline industry has returned to normalcy. –Malaysia World News
