KUALA LUMPUR DEC 12: “It is not true that the Malaysian air space had been intruded by a helicopter and a drone from a neighbouring country (Singapore),” said Deputy Defence Minister, Liew Chin Tong.

Chin Tong said, the Chief of Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) confirmed that the Malaysian air space had not been intruded.

“I have been briefed by Chief of RMAF that there was no such incident of Malaysian air space had been intruded,” he said to the media after presenting the Diploma in Government Course and Malaysian Staff (KPSM) 47/2018 Series to the participants at Wisma Perwira here today.

Chin Tong was responding to a report from a news portal that alleged a helicopter and a drone from a neighbouring country had intruded the Malaysian air space in Johor recently.

The two minutes 15 seconds video showed a helicopter and an object believed to be a drone flying around Malaysian air space.

The video went viral on social media including the Facebook of the Malaysian Army Supporters’ Club.

Regarding the diploma course, Chin Tong said, the Malaysian Army training was conducted in many stages. For this session 46 officers from 27 countries not only had academic studies but also deal in defence diplomacy.

“The defence diplomacy not only protects and defends the region but also globally. The military officials’ roles are not only in wartime but also to make the world a more peaceful place to live in,” he added.

According to Chin Tong, the good relationship among the military officials will last forever. If any problem prevails then the defence diplomacy will be applied and this is very important for the future of the world. –Malaysia World News
