KUALA LUMPUR MAR.19: Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin had requested the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador to report to the Police Force Commission (SPP) over his allegation that there is a cartel in the Royal Police Malaysia (RPM) trying to topple him.
The Minister said, he has asked the IGP to submit a full report as his allegations are not clear and as such the people might get a wrong perception on this issue.
“Among the IGP’s allegations is that there is an attempt by the younger police officers to topple him,” said Hamzah to RTM after attending the Malaysia Prihatin Programme at Darul Ridzuan Building in Ipoh today.
Hamzah added, he has contacted the IGP yesterday and he wanted to have the full report and to announce this matter clearly to the public.
The Minister was responding to the front page Sinar Harian dated 18th March 2021 that had highlighted the IGP’s allegation that there is a cartel in RPM with a group of young police officers being the master-mind.
Sinar also highlighted the inclusive interview with Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador where he had alleged that there is a move attempting to topple and humiliate him as the IGP.
The paper also highlighted that the cartel wants to dominate the security forces in the country to enable them to do “dirty jobs”.
Hamzah who is also the Chairman of SPP was reported as saying that Abdul Hamid has never brought the issue to the attention of the SPP. –Malaysia World News
