MINDEF announces new plans for 2024, focusing on five pillars

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, has announced his plans for 2024, focusing on five main pillars: ensuring the national defence system is respected, building up defence plans, fostering welfare and capacity building, and instilling patriotism.

He also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Institute of Integrity, aiming to strengthen policies, integrity values, governance, and anti-corruption in public and corporate sectors.

The event also marked the launch of a new Corporate Image of MINDEF.

 “The Minister of Defence then witnessed the signing if Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry with Malaysian Institute of Integrity.

“The objective of the MoU is to help and support each other in awareness programmes, advocates, research and strengthening the policies , integrity values, governance and anti-corruption in the public and corporate sectors in Malaysia,” said Mohamed Khaled in a statement.

The event also witnessed the launching of the new Corporate Image of MINDEF toward a modern Design that portrays MINDEF as a ministry that consistently practices the values such as integrity, efficiency and professionalism in implementing the given responsibilities. –Malaysia World News
