PUTRAJAYA DEC.14: The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (MCMC) has formed the Digital Economy, Creative Industry and Communication Council (MEDIKK) as a direct communication platform between the Ministry and the administration of the State Government.
Minister of MCMC, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the communication between the ministry and state government will be carried out via meeting held periodically to discuss as a whole relating the portfolio of MCMC namely information, creative industry, telecommunication and digital economy.
“I will be the Chairman of MEDIKK while other members consist of every State Exco representative that holds the related portfolio while the member of the Federal Territories will be the Minister of Federal Territories.
“The formation of MEDIKK is in line with the objective of MCMC to provide the communication infrastructure as a whole and inclusive for the digital economy development, information technology empowerment and national communications, enhance the content creative industry, to spread and to deepen delivery and disseminate information strategically,” Annuar said in a statement here today. – Malaysia World News
