KUALA LUMPUR: The MAS-10 team at worksite (Charlie-02 and Delta-02) had successfully pulled out two victims at the 12th hour of the local time from the building that collapsed in Turkiye.
Turkiye had been struck by earthquake with the magnitude of 7.7 Richter last Friday and 7.8 Richter on Monday.
“According to witnesses, there are many more victims in the building that collapsed. However MAS-10 is continuing its search mission in that area,” National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) said in its statement, 11th Dec.2023.
The current updates of the earthquake was 20,000 had died and 100,000 injured as of Monday, as reported by MalaysiaGazette.
As reported, the destructions incurred due to the earthquake in Turkiye involves 99,363 square kilometer and it is larger than the size of Hungary. However the focus of the world today is to search and rescue many victims that are still trapped in the buildings that collapsed at the affected areas in South Turkiye. –Malaysia World News
