PUTRAJAYA SEPT.11: One of the government’s initiatives to help small entrepreneurs nationwide to continue their businesses in this difficult time is by giving moratorium to MARA financing traders.
Deputy Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad said, for the state of Pahang, 428 MARA financing entrepreneurs will receive business moratorium involving RM 1.66 million.
He said, for the rental exemptions and 30 per cent discount for the rent initiatives, 473 tenants will receive the benefits involving RM733, 000.
“For the handing over of “Skim Pembiayaan Perniagaan Prihatin Mikro (S3P) and the impementation of the “Skim Pembiayaan Perniagaan Khas Wanita (DanaNITA) in Pahang, a total of RM1.175 million has been approved under the S3P programme for 34 entrepreneurs while RM600,000 has been allocated to 22 entrepreneurs under DanaNita programme,” he said in a statement here today.
The Deputy Minister added, the main objective of the programme is to observe and deliver the moratorium letter to MARA financing entrepreneurs and the MARA rental exemption letter of 30 per cent discount rents under the empowerment of the people and additional economy (PEMERKASA) and the handing over of the S3P and DanaNITA.
“Besides distributing the aids, the programme today is also to physically meet the Bumiputera entrepreneurs and to get feedback on the effectiveness of the aid schemes under MARA during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.
According to the ministry’s statement, the initiatives implemented by MARA is part of the aids that have been announced by the government through the PEMERKASA and PEMULIH that are aimed to help Bumiputera entrepreneurs that are affected badly during the COVID-19 pandemic.-Malaysia World News
