Malaysia`s King hopes Ziyad would be patient with the test he faced and not give up

Malaysia`s King, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has congratulated Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli on his achievements of the country’s shot put F20 athlete at the Tokyo Paralympic Championships.

His Majesty at the same time, also expressed pride in Ziyad `s outstanding achievement in breaking world record with a throw of 17.94 meters, despite his gold medal victory in the event has been cancelled by the organizers, which was not in his favor and the country.

A statement issued by the Istana Negara said the king hopes that Ziyad would be patient with the test he faced and not lose heart and give up on the issue of the cancellation of his victory.

His Majesty also wishes that he would continue to work and remain focused on the pursuit of success in the upcoming tournaments.

“For His Majesty, Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli has given his best for himself and the country. Hopefully, the spirit shown by him can be used as an example to all Malaysians,” the statement said.

His Majesty also called on the relevant parties to refine the reason for the cancellation of Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli’s victory so that it will not be repeated in the future.
