A Malaysian transgender crowned Miss Transsexual Australia 2017

Kuala Lumpur: Laeticia Phylliscia Raveena, a pastry chef from Malaysia, has been crowned Miss Transsexual Australia 2017, at a Miss Gay and Miss Transsexuals beauty pageant in Melbourne, Australia.

Raveena has also won a gift voucher worth US$15,000 from Bangkok’s Kamol Cosmetic Hospital.  

“Congratulations to our very own Malaysian Transsexual rep Laeticia Phylliscia Raveena for your victory as Miss Transsexuals Australia. You deserved to be the queen,” a Facebook post read on Sunday.

Some of the criteria to be qualified for Miss Transsexual Australia are: to be an Australian Citizen, Australian Resident or legally staying in Australia on a valid visa (tourist or student visa allowed), be aged above 18, and be a male-to-female transgender/transsexual (pre-operative or post-operative).
