Malaysian Minister of Law is in London discussing freedom of information

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar is in London, UK.

He is meeting the Information Commissioner’s Office in Wilmslow Cheshire.

During his working visit to UK, a statement said, he has had a discussion on the implementation of freedom of information.

The discussion was also attended by a delegation from Malaysia and representatives from the ICO, namely Mr Warren Saddon, Director of FOI and Transparency; Mr Andrew White, Head of FOI Complaints and Appeals and Mr Alain Kapper, Senior Policy Officer International ICIC/oCTN/G7 liasson.

“The focus of the discussion was the application of the Freedom Information Act 2000, policy issues, the role and functions of the Information Commission as well as aspects of the implementation of the act,” a statement on his Facebook said.
