Malaysian flood victims in Queensland, Australia advised to contact High Commission in Canberra for assistance

PUTRAJAYA FEB.27: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs via the High Commission of Malaysia in Canberra, Australia is closely monitoring the conditions of Malaysian citizens in Queensland following heavy rain that hits the territory since 25th Feb.2022.

The Foreign Ministry said, the Malaysians affected by the floods have been shifted out by the local authorities to the protected centre in the territory.

“The Ministry wishes to advise Malaysian citizens in Queensland to be alert all the time and adhere to the instructions released by the local authorities from time to time,” Foreign Ministry said in a statement here today.

The statement added, the Malaysian citizens who are in the affected areas and need the assistance of the consular are advised to communicate directly with the High Commission of Malaysia in Canberra via telephone or e-mail as below:
