KUALA LUMPUR NOV.22: With the price of RM15.80 the Malaysian Family Pass will enable four persons in a group to travel by train without limitation on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
With the price, every person in the group will only pay RM3.75 to utilise the LRT, MRT, Monorail and BRT services under the management of RapidKL throughout the day.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the introduction of the Malaysian Family Pass initiative is aimed at encouraging the people to have recreational activities, tour and spend quality time with the loved ones while at shopping complexes or visiting interesting places using the public transportation networks in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
“I believe that efficient public transportation and connectivity is very important for the mobility of the Malaysian Family.
“Since the COVIC-19 pandemic started, Prasarana has launched several initiatives to help small entrepreneurs to increase their sales.
With the theme, Rapid KL Supports #Malaysian Family, Prasarana Group via Strategic Communication and Marketing using their social media platforms has promoted the food based product businesses along the transportation routes under the management of RapidKL throughout the day including at the bus hubs.
“Under this campaign Prasarana not only buy the product and create the contents of the social media but also give guidance and expertise assistance to the entrepreneurs,” Ismail said in his speech when launching the Pass #Malaysian Family 2021 and Friendly Tour at LRT, KL Sentral here today.
Meanwhile, at the event, Ismail also announced that Prasarana via its subsidiary company, Prasarana Integrated Development Sdn. Bhd. or PRIDE will offer the “Transit Package” for small and medium enterprises starting March 2022.
Ismail said, through this package a total of 20 business lots with the size between 80sq.ft.- 400 sq.ft located at several routes will be offered to the SMEs via lot draw.
“The business lots will involve Kelana Jaya Route including Subang Alam, Alam Sutera, Putra Height, Taman Perindustrian Puchong, Awan Besar, IOI Puchong Jaya, Plaza Rakyat and SS18.
“The successful applicants will get the special rental structure for one year including rental exemptions for three months. The details of this offer will be announced by PRIDE shortly.
“I would like to encourage the small, medium enterprises to participate and empower the local economy to spill over the prosperity that will benefit the whole of Malaysian Family.” Ismail reiterated. –Malaysia World News
