Malaysian ex-Ambassador and his son charged in court for trafficking cannabis


BENTONG: Former diplomat (ex-Ambassador to Indonesia) and his son have been charged in the Magistrate’s Court today for possessing, trafficking and storing cannabis in their house.

According to NST, Datuk Zainal Abidin Alias, 78 and his son Mohamed Riza Zainal Abidin, 53 pleaded not guilty to the charge of storing cannabis oil in their house.

 
They were also charged with possession of 1,020 grams of cannabis in the same place.
 
They were charged under Section 9 (1) (b) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 39B (1) (a) of the same act.
