PUTRAJAYA: No Malaysian citizen living here has been found infected with coronavirus nationwide today..
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said seven cases were detected, but six of them were among Malaysians who came back from overseas, and one foreign worker.
“This is a good sign. Hopefully, we can continue recording single-digit cases and even looking at easing restrictions on border control.
“Currently, we are still strengthening border control as a measure to curb the virus infections.
“We are planning for an exit strategy and can consider this period as a soft landing,” he told reporter at a Press conference today.
Noor also hinted that Malaysia can eradicate Covid-19 too, same like New Zealand and other countries that announced zero cases yesterday.
” We can break the chain of Covid-19 infections, if each one of us adheres to the regulations.
“Some countries have been successful in eradicating Covid-19,” he added.
