KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 —Merdeka 118 tower, the second tallest building in the world, receives triple platinum green ratings in international sustainability certification, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.
The construction of the Merdeka 118 tower amid the Covid-19 pandemic marks a great engineering achievement for the country, he added.
“This makes Merdeka 118 an iconic tower of the future.
“It will complement other areas that are rapidly developing such as KLCC and KL Sentral,” he said at the launch of Merdeka 118 tower today.
Ismail Sabri said the construction of Merdeka 118, which is the tallest tower in Malaysia and Southeast Asia with a height of 678.9 meters, would show Malaysia as a modern and developed nation, and also benefit the Malaysian Family.
The prime Minister added, the development of Merdeka 118 will also provide economic opportunities to the local community.
