Malaysia Immigration Department arrested 680 Chinese scammers in Cyberjaya

Malaysia Immigration Department had arrested 680 Chinese nationals who have been working with a huge China-based online investment scam syndicate in Cyberjaya.

The Immigration raided their office in a six-storey building and arrested the suspects on Wednesday.

The Chinese scammers are believed to have been targeting victims from Malaysia and China.

Most of the suspects have no identification documents.

China Ambassador to Malaysia when meeting reporters said all suspects in the case should be punished by the law of this country if they were convicted.

“We are ready to offer our assistance in terms of identifying 680 suspects of Chinese national and we are ready to cooperate with Malaysian law enforcement agencies in any cross borders crimes crackdown, including in this case,” he said.
