Malaysian Foreign Affairs Ministry and Wisma Putra fully support a delegation headed by Ustaz Ebit Lew to go on a humanitarian mission to Egypt from 25-30 May to help the Palestinians, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar.
“I discussed via video call with Ustaz Ebit Lew. I have been informed of his and the delegation’s intention to conduct a humanitarian mission to Egypt to help Palestine.
“In principle, Wisma Putra fully supports the efforts of Ustaz Ebit Lew and also welcomes other NGO partners to mobilize various other similar efforts. The Malaysian government through Wisma Putra will also mobilize humanitarian aid for the people of Pal #Palestine. InsyaAllah,” he said.
Arrangements and preparations related to the mission were planned and made by Ustaz Ebit Lew himself in collaboration with their NGO partners in Egypt.
This humanitarian mission for Palestinians has also received travel approval and is subject to current SOPs, added the deputy Minister.
“Although this mission is the initiative of Ustaz Ebit Lew’s own delegation, I have advised them to stay in touch, cooperate and follow every security instruction from the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo and the host. This is very important for their safety,” he added. – Malaysia World News
