PUTRAJAYA SEPT.15: The Malaysian government through the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah has handed COVID-19 related medical equipment and supplies to the Republic of Indonesia at the Subang Air Base, Selangor here today.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, Malaysia’s contribution comprises of ISO tank containers and liquid oxygen, oxygen concentrators, therapeutic medicines and disposable medical items.
“The initiative is a testament to the strong and excellent relations between the two countries. Various ministries and agencies have closely cooperated in this effort.
“The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Malaysia, His Excellency Hermono received the contribution on behalf of the government of Indonesia while the main consignment was delivered via the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) aircraft with the rest to be delivered in stages,” the ministry said in its statement here today.
The statement added, Malaysia will continue to work closely with fellow ASEAN Member States and international partners in mitigating the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic towards full recovery. –Malaysia World News
