Malaysia allows Aidiladha prayers and animal sacrifice in Phase Two areas

Malaysian government will allow Aidiladha prayers and animal sacrifice in states and areas under Phase Two of the national recovery plan (PPN).

States that have moved to Phase Two are: Perlis, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak.

The Malaysian Islamic development department (Jakim) stated that prayers and sermons, as well as animal sacrificial rites, are allowed, but with strict SOPs.

It said, gathering after prayer, family and friends visits, open house functions as well as related ceremonies, are not allowed.
