MAF ready to assist throughout voting process and floods nationwide –General Affendi

KUALA LUMPUR: Early voting for 146,737 Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) staff and partners will be on 15th Nov.2022 as gazetted by the Election Voters Registration (DPPR).

MAF has 153 early voting centres that have been gazetted by the Malaysian Election Commission (EC) for the staff and their partners nationwide.

MAF Chief, General Tan Sri Affendi Buang (RMAF) said, the process of voting for MAF staff who have been registered as postal voters has started on Nov.7 until Nov. 19 2022 before 5.00pm after receiving “Sampul Keutamaan Kertas Undi Pos” (SKKUP) that have been taken out by the Returning Officer (RO) for any one election division.

“It is MAF’s hope that the election process runs smoothly to enable every staff is able to carry out the responsibility as a valid voter like any other person in Malaysia.

“MAF is consistently supporting the process and Parliamentary Democracy System under the administration of Constitutional Monarchy under His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong as the National Leader.

“For the loyalty to His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong, MAF Family has been upholding the norms of integrity in implementing the trust and responsibility for the national prosperity.

“Most importantly, the priority of MAF is to continue focusing on the empowerment of the readiness of the Forces to protect the interest and sovereignty of the nation at all times,” said Affendi Buang in a statement.

Affendi added, the readiness of the Forces is more important as the Northeast Monsoon or monsoon season has started from Nov.7 and will extend until March 2023.

General Affedi Buang also emphasized that MAF has prepared and ready to move the assets in case of floods especially in the high risk states that will be affected by the disaster.

“In the implementation of the 15th General Election (GE) especially on 19th Nov. 2022, MAF has been ready to render assistance to EC, local authorities and public authorities to ensure the process of voting will be carried out smoothly nationwide.

“At the same time, MAF will ensure the safety and prosperity of the people are always protected from any unwanted probabilities throughout the voting process and when the general election result is announced,” Affendi said. – Malaysia World News
