Many lawmakers are allegedly defecting from Pakatan Harapan to form a new coalition government with Umno and PAS.
Speculation over the alleged defections raised last week after Lokman Noor Adam, who has been recently sacked from Umno, criticized Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for reportedly wanting to support Dr Mahathir, acoording to Malaysiakini report.
However, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has today dismissed the rumours as ” lies” and “exaggeration” created by the opposition.
They said six from Amanah and 15 from PKR will defect, “we checked, it’s not true. So there is an element of deceit,” sAnwar told reporters.
“Not true. No such matter was ever raised by Mahathir that Bersatu would team up with Umno and PAS to form a “Pakatan Nasional unity government”, he added.
