King witnesses the final Jungle Falcon Exercise between MAF, UAELF

KUALA LUMPUR JULY 16: His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah consented to witness the closing event of the final demonstration of the Jungle Falcon Exercise 1/2023 Series between the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and the United Arab Emirates Land Forces (UAELF) at the oil palm plantation, Felda South Panching, Kuantan, Pahang today.

His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah was accompanied by Pemangku Raja Pahang Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah and Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah.

Also present were Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Chief of Armed Forces, General Tan Sri Affendi Buang, UAE High Commissioner to Malaysia, Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith, UAE Armed Forces Staff Chief, Lieutenant General Eisa Saif Al Mazrouei and Menteri Besar of Pahang Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

His Majesty as the Supreme Government in MAF had consented to witness the war demonstration by MAF and UAELF in a strategy to capture the enemies using the military asset owned by MAF.

In his speech, His Majesty said, the training is proof of the continuous strong brotherly relationship between Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It also opens a new sharing of knowledge and expertise besides giving an opportunity to UAELF to get operational experiences in tropical climate areas.

His Majesty had also expressed his appreciation and thanked the Brigade 4 (Mekanize) and also hoped the good relationship between the two countries remains.

According to the Istana Negara statement, the Jungle Falcon Exercise was one of MAF’s successes in realizing the military understanding that had been agreed by the MAF leadership with UAELF in Abu Dhabi on 31st October 2022.  

“The exercise has the capacity to open up space for MAF to share expertise, experiences, and knowledge together with the strategic military partner UAELF in conventional war aspects.

“Earlier the bilateral exercise namely the Tiger Desert Exercise 6/2023 Series between MAF and UAELF had been implemented in Al Hamra Combat Training Centre, Abu Dhabi on 8th-27th February 2023,” the statement said.  –Malaysia World News
