KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah urged the government to focus on the implementation of the development project that will bring direct impact to the prosperity of the people that has been outlined in MADANI Budget 2023.
His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah said, this is considering the global economic challenges including the post Covid -19 pandemic and the geopolitics that will effect the people’s cost of living.
Earlier Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed his opinion that Malaysia is on the correct track to achieve the development agenda for the prosperity of the people.
“This is proven with the growth of the national economy that is on the rise and sustainable with the Gross Domestic Product leaping up to 5.6 per cent in the first quarter of 2023.”
Al-Sultan Abdullah said that at the investiture ceremony of Federal Territories awards, medals and honors at Istana Negara, Monday.
Also present was Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also highlighted the prosperity of the people’s agenda includes extending the social protection network to control the rising cost of living and this needs to be focused.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong said that at the presentation of awards in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration.
At the important function, 839 individuals received conferment of honors and Federal awards 2023.
The Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Johari Abdul has led the recipients of the award Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) that brings the title ‘Tan Sri’. Other recipients includes former Menteri Besar of Kelantan Allahyarham Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat and DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang.
Meanwhile Al-Sultan Abdullah also reminded the people not to make religious issue as a polemics and a source of political disputes.
His Majesty also called on all parties to respect the position of Islam and the religion of the Federal and the position of the Sultan as head of the religion as stated in the Federal Constitution.
The King urged all quarters to cast away any rhetorical agendas in order to help move the country towards a better future. -Malaysia World News
