King, Queen convey condolences to Aishah’s family

KUALA LUMPUR FEB.4: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddinAl-Mustafa Billah Shah has expressed his condolences to the family of the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president, Datuk Aishah Ahmad Badjunaid who passed away on Thursday.

Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah also conveyed condolences on Istana Negara’s Facebook page today.

“Their Majesties greatly appreciate Allahyarhamah’s services and deeds for the country and regards her death as a great loss for the national automotive industry,” the post said.

According to the post they also expressed sadness over Aishah’s passing and hoped that her family would be patient and resolute in facing this moment of sadness.

Aishah, 71,  passed away on Thursday morning in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Allahyarhamah was highly respected among the local automotive industry and by her Asian counterparts, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the Malaysian government.

Aishah had led the MAA since 1991(when known as the Malaysian Motor Traders Association or MMTA) and spearheaded the growth of MAA into the leading automotive industry association in Malaysia.

Aishah had also been the Chairman of the Automotive Federation Malaysia since 1998.

She started her career in the mid-1970s with the Inchcape Group in Malaysia then joined Ford Malaysia, and Tractors Malaysia and finally retired in 2021 when she was with Sime Darby Motors Division Sdn. Bhd. –Malaysia World News
