Putrajaya: International travellers are not required to do the Covid-19 Rapid Test Kit-Antigen (RTK-AG) test when they arrive at airports in Malaysia.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said today “there is no requirement for travellers to do the RTK-AG onsite at airports.”
International travellers are only required to do the RTK-AG test within 24 hours upon arrival in Malaysia at any private health facilities, a statement said.
“It is not mandatory to perform the tests at the airport upon arrival,” added the statement.
According to NST, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said on March 24 that travellers are required to undergo professional RTK-AG tests either at the airport or outside.
The test must be done within 24 hours at any health facility upon arrival, and failure to do so could lead to deportation, Khairy said. – Malaysia World News
