JAKARTA 1 May – Thousands of workers took to the street in central Jakarta today in `May Day rally`.
They protested against the government’s fuel subsidy cuts plan, unfair labour practices, and called on public officials to put an end to the controversial practices regarding the contract labour “outsourcing” in Indonesia.
Workers under the “outsourcing” category are deprived of work protection and benefits, unlike regular workers in selected industries.
About 135,000 workers , from the largest labour unions, participated in the rally, which hindered public transport flow, closing down of major “arteries” as protesters marched to the State Palace and Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration.

Nice blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your design. Kudos
