Dr. Tatiana Ivanikova, a Russian nutritionist, announced that green tea reduces the risk of cancer cell growth in the body.

In an interview with the Russian RIA Novosti news agency, the expert points out that regular consumption of green tea daily reduces the risk of serious diseases.

She adds, green tea has sedative properties and protects people from overeating. Because it contains a high percentage of catechins (a type of flavonoids) and vitamin С.

She says, “Catechins strengthen the walls of the capillaries, reduce the risk of cancer cells arising in the body, enhance the immune system, and warn of the risk of atherosclerosis.”

And she adds, those who suffer from low blood pressure, liver and intestinal diseases, should be careful not to take green tea.
