KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) has won 28 parliamentary seats as of 12.15pm leading the other political parties contesting in the 15th General Election on 19 Nov. 2022.
Election Commission (EC) Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh said the other parties are GPS with 20 Seats, PAS (18), PN (17), BN (16), GRS (4), DAP (4), Warisan (2), Muda (1), PBM (1) and Independent (1).
Ghani added, out of 220 Parliamentary seats 112 had obtained the results.
Meanwhile, President of Pejuang, Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad had lost his deposit in retaining the parliamentary seat in Langkawi as he only garnered 4,566 votes.
His rival Mohd. Suhaimi Abdullah from Perikatan Nasional (PN) had 25,463 votes while Zabidi Yahya from independent lost his deposit and Abdul Kadir too lost his deposit. Armishah Siraj gained 11,945 votes while Suhaimi of PN had the majority of 13,518 votes.
On the other hand, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had succeeded in retaining Bera Parliamentary seat when he garnered 31,762 votes in the 15th General Election (GE-15).
His rivals Datuk Asmawi Harun of PN gained 12,719 while Abbas Awang of PH had 15,067 votes.
Ismail had the majority of 16,695 votes with 77.08 per cent voters turn up while 814 votes had been rejected.
Meanwhile, the PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of PH had won the Tambun parliamentary seat with 49,625 votes.
