Fully vaccinated people in Selangor, KL, Putrajaya can now travel inter-district/state effective 10th September-PM Ismail

PUTRAJAYA SEPT.8: Inter-district/state travel will be allowed to fully vaccinated people in the Klang Valley including Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya effective 10th September 2021 following the shifting of these states to Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, long distance couples and parents visiting their children aged below 18 are also allowed to travel inter-district/state provided they have been fully vaccinated.

Ismail added, dine-in is also allowed at the food premises for customers who have been fully vaccinated while tourism activities are only permitted in the same state involving staying in hotel and home- stay for individual who have been fully vaccinated.

“The COVID-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee in its meeting on 8th Sept.

2021(today) has decided that the three states are combined and placed as one infected area. Therefore, movements in these three states are allowed without any road blocks,” Ismail said in a statement here today.

However, Ismail also highlighted that flexibilities in the standard operating procedure (SOP) will also be given for sports and recreational activities in the states under Phase1.

Among the decisions made are, allowing indoor sports except gymnasium, for individual who have been fully vaccinated; sports facilities and indoor commercial recreation centres are allowed to operate with supervision but only for fully vaccinated individual.

The use of the facility could only be made through appointment and complying with the SOP.

Meanwhile, for trade and distribution, floral shop/nursery, outdoor equipment shop and housing gallery will be allowed to operate effective 10th Sept. 2021in the states under Phase 1.

“For the states under Phase Two and Phase Three, additional flexibilities are given to barber shop, hair dresser and beauty salon to operate.

“The details on the latest SOP will be updated by the National Security Council (NSC) and the related ministries,” Ismail said.- Malaysia World News.
