Flexibilties in SOP: One million people fully vaccinated in the creative industry in Phase One will benefit –PM Ismail

KUALA LUMPUR SEPT.7: One million people in the creative industry who have completed their vaccinations are allowed to resume their activities effective 9th September 2021 following the flexibilities in the standard operating procedures (SOP) in Phase One that has been agreed by the COVID-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee Meeting on 2nd September.

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the flexibilities will also enable 19,000 companies in the creative industry to resume their activities in the premises’ space following the SOP that has been approved by the National Security Council (NSC).

“The flexibilities are given based on the states where 80 per cent of the adult population have received two doses of vaccination or have reached the herd immunity level.

“The creative industry has contributed 2 per cent or RM29 billion of the Gross Domestic Productivity (GDP) in 2019.Besides enabling the creative activists in the industry to start work for their livelihood, the flexibilities have also enabled the national creative industry that had been badly affected to progress,” Ismail said in a statement here today.

Ismail added, the flexibilities have also enabled the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia via the Malaysian National Film Development Corporation (FINAS), MyCreative Ventures and Cultural Economy Development Agency (CENDANA) to activate their initiatives.

The activities allowed to resume in Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) includes 1) Developing and broadcasting the creative content via recording or live telecast: 2) Broadcasting via recording or live telecast in the form of information delivery and entertainment in the presence of spectators that have completed their vaccinations with the capacity of 30 per cent at the studio space; 3) Shooting involving creative industry in and outside the studio to individuals who have complete vaccinations; 4) Indoor busking for individual who have complete vaccinations; 5) Performance at the hotel lounge for individual with complete vaccinations; 6) Cinema activities for individual with complete vaccination with 50 per cent capacity at the cinema hall; 7) Live performance such as theatre, musical, music and comedy (pre-registration system) with the audience that have complete vaccinations and the spectators’ capacity of 30 per cent at the premises and 8) Art exhibition in the exhibition hall, museum and art gallery (through appointments) with spectators fully vaccinated and 30 per cent at the premises’ space. –Malaysia World News
