Fever cases in North Korea reached 1.2 million

The number of fever cases in North Korea has reached more than 1.2 million as of Sunday.

It was recorded 50 of them have died of the desease, according  to the Korean Central News Agency on Monday, Xinhua reported.

Despite having placed all cities under lockdown since Thursday, 392,920 persons were detected with fever on Sunday, eight of them died.

According to KCNA, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has lambasted his cabinet and public health officials for “irresponsible work” and poor “organizing and executing.”

He also accused the director of the central public prosecutor’s office of “idleness and negligence of his duty.”
