DSA, NATSEA Asia 2022 exhibition to be held in KL from 28th to 31th March 2022

KUALA LUMPUR DIS.3: The 17th edition of Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition will be held concurrently with the National Security Asia (NATSEC Asia 2022), in Kuala Lumpur from 28-31 March 2022 after a hiatus for its 2020 edition due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Senior Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said, the DSA 2022 promises to be another high profile showcase of some of the world’s sophisticated hardware and electronic warfare in land, air, sea and cyber domain, border protection, citizen identification, artificial intelligence, battlefield healthcare products/technology, training and simulation systems and police and homeland security peripherals and critical assets protection system.

Hishmmuddin added, an international exhibition on National Security for Asia (NATSEC Asia 2022) will cover Law Enforcement, Homeland Security and Border Control.

“Playing a key role as the Asia Pacific Defence and Security hub for the world defence and security industries for business sourcing activities, the two mega events will also serve as a pivotal platform bringing together various major players in the defence and security industry and government agencies for strategic alliances, business collaborations and successful networking.

“For the first time ever since the inception of the series, DSA and NATSEC will be presented as a hybrid event. In keeping with the new norms, advancement of technological and connectivity, DSA 2022 and NATSEC Asia 2022 will be complemented by a virtual platform as a value-added component to help participants access the contents before, during and after the show,” Hishammuddin said in his speech.

The Senior Minister Hishammuddin together with Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin has officially launched the DSA 2022 and NATSEC Asia 2022 at the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur today.

Other VIPs in attendance included Datuk Seri Muez Abdul Aziz, Secretary General Ministry of Defence, Datuk Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, Secretary General Ministry of Home Affairs, and General Tan Sri Datuk Seri Affendi Buang RMAF, Chief of Defence Force Malaysia.

According to Hishammuddin, the two mega exhibitions will be participated by 1,170 companies from the global defence and security sector from more than 54 countries and regions as well as 37 international pavilions, some 350 VIP delegations from over 45 countries and 40,000 visitors from 50 countries/regions.
He added, to-date 70 per cent of the space booking at DSA 2022 NATSEC Asia 2022 has been confirmed.

The two events said Hishammuddin are supported and co-organised together with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysia Police.

“Over the years since it was established in 1988, the DSA series has evolved to become a crucial voice in addressing various security concerns including areas like counter terrorism, cyber security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, peacekeeping operations as well as battlefield healthcare and critical assets protection, among others.” Hishammuddin said.-Malaysia World News
