KUALALUMPUR: Facing the reality of the new politic, UMNO had made adjustments without affecting the position of Islam, or “mortgaging” the morals of the Malays and Bumiputera agenda, or gambling the future of the people as a whole.

“That is UMNO stand. Do not hurt the hearts of the Malays. Your words could invite worries among friends. Friends… Do not touch the feelings of the Malays. We also must not make our friends feel uncomfortable,” Ahmad Zahid said at the UMNO General Assembly 2023 at Dewan Merdeka, WTC here today.

Ahmad Zahid who is also the Deputy Prime Minister said, Malaysia which is located at the junction of South East Asia cannot run from playing its important role towards the development of the geopolitics in the region.

“Every move and decision we make will surely have significant impact on the peacefulness, stability and prosperity of the people as a whole,” he added.

The UMNO President also highlighted that the MADANI Government has recently been successful in putting aside the Sulu inheriters’ claims in the Paris courts.

“The success should be celebrated as the MADANI Government is led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The success of the case had also witnessed the active participation of two ministers from UMNO namely Minister of Law and Institutional Reform, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Seri Zambry Abd. Kadir,” he said. -Malaysia World News
