Demonstrations in Sudan: 50 Malaysians registered with the embassy in Khartoum are safe

PUTRAJAYA OCT.27: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to monitor closely the latest developments in The Sudan, including the ongoing demonstrations across the country.

The Ministry in its statement said, it maintains constant communication with the Embassy of Malaysia in Khartoum. All 50 Malaysians including 25 students registered with the embassy are safe, and embassy officials are in close contact with them.

“Apart from the initiative to temporarily house 17 Malaysians and one Thai staff member of PETRONAS at the official residence of the ambassador, the embassy has issued an advisory to the rest of Malaysians in the country to give utmost priority to their safety and security,” the statement said.
